A well Pruned & maintained palm can look spectacular in the garden. Certain species of palms, we sometimes refer to as self cleaning palms & require little maintenance if any e.g. Alexandria (Archontophoenix alexandrae) or Bangalow palms (Archontophoenix cunninghamiana) but other species of palms such as Cocos palms (Syagrus romanzoffiana) require yearly maintenance as they don’t shed their fronds, seed pods or fruits. This can leave your garden & palms looking un-tidy.
